The Fourth Grade Experience

Dear Students,
I am glad that you are in my class this year! Many of you I already know.  Others... I will know very soon!

We have so much to Learn! I know that you are eager to write in CURSIVE, to practice MULTIPLICATION facts, to TALK and LEARN about the WORLD around us, as well as learn more about OURSELVES! Think of all the great STORIES that we will READ.

I hope that this will be a SPECIAL year for you! Please talk to me when you have something to share, when you don't understand or when you are upset.  I will try to listen very CAREFULLY. Will you be a GOOD LISTENER too?

ALL schools provide their students with the Basics:  the "3 Rs." ALL educators strive for Academic Excellence. ALL teachers follow a Scope and Sequence and/or the CA Framework. What makes All Saints' different? We challenge and nurture your child in a Christian environment.

The early years of grade school set the tone for developing citizenship, love of learning, and social development. We focus on character development through Religion classes and family-style interaction among the students.

We enrich the curriculum with Music, Spanish, Library, and field trips. These enhancements introduce the Arts and also reinforce all forms of creativity. Our Open Court Reading program emphasizes phonics, comprehension, and critical thinking skills. Our SRA Math program builds a strong foundation through repetition, application and word problems. Our chapel services challenge and instruct them about the Christian faith. Our students leave this stage of development with great study skills, self-confidence, and a basic understanding of Christianity.

My favorite part of coming to ALL SAINTS' is seeing my friends and seeing the teachers and learning and having fun at school. ALL SAINTS' is so FUN! I love school! It's the best place to be during the day! ---Natalie, age 9
